Ashlee comes from a part of California rarely seen in postcards — characterized by intense heat, religion, truck stops, and meth labs. This series was photographed on an empty piece of land along the Pacific Coast Highway, which was later cleared for a wine-tasting venue. Nowadays, you can drive along the PCH for miles without spotting the ocean from your car. Ashlee's body is entirely natural — definitely worth the detour.
